"This jacket has an incredible fit, slightly athletic, goes a little below the waist. I'm about 5'7 / 135 and the small fits perfectly. Often I wear it on chilly days just over a t-shirt and it holds up okay and feels fine against my skin. It's not flashy like a lot of Patagonia jackets, but I've received a bunch of compliments on it. I own a lot of jackets (fleeces, shells, etc.) and this is my favorite by far. It is marked as a "Regular Fit" but fits much nicer than the other "Regular Fit" Patagonia jackets I've tried on, namely the Retro-X.
With all that said, I'd say it's worth the Web Specials price, but I'm not sure it's worth the list price because it's not insulated at all."

"Excellent shell with features that really add up. Waistline gator keeps out the powder. Collar-hood system does the same for the neckline. Useful chest pockets double as vents. Medium insulation, this shell is a little more than just a shell. Mesh liner works great with the layering while preserving mobility."

functional ski jacket

"This is a very functional ski jacket. Nothing flashy or extraneous- just solid aki performance.
Perfect fit- athletic but permits layering; soft, durable and weatherproof material; great collar height provides good coverage; just the right amount of pockets.
Be aware that this is a ski "shell" and will require thoughtful layering. But that is the beauty- and purpose- of a shell: the ability to custom-tailor the jacket to fit the need. I've worn everything from an R1 pullover to an R4 jacket (during a 10 degree night ski) underneath. When properly layered, this jacket works well in all conditions."

"Took it out in 10 degree weather with just an Cap3 1/4-zip and a Synchilla vest for a couple hours of snowshoeing in Vermont. Warm enough with a layer or two while active to probably handle a bit colder weather. And it took a beating (trees, rocks, ice, etc) and still looks brand new. This is probably the best jacket I've ever had."
