"Went thru 5-6 pairs of the previous Senders that had the draw cord instead of belt loops & I thought YC and the gang had it perfected---until they changed it and added belt loops and removed the cell phone pocket on the thigh. Bummer. The fabric is pretty light and breatheable making 'em sweet for desert shorts. Not too durable for thrashing up chimneys despite the claims."

"Thanks to the previous two reviews, I was able to get these in a good fit. I can reiterate that they do run a little big.
This is my first pair of Patagonia shorts, and they certainly will not be the last. Without hesitation, the best shorts I have ever worn. They are fairly light and very comfortable. I am sure they are quite durable, and they look very nice as well. I am very satisfied with my purchase.
As for the product information, something is off. Looking at the details above, you see that it states the shorts are 94% nylon dobby-weave and 6% spandex. But on the tag inside the actual shorts, it states 69% organic cotton and 31% nylon. The details portion above also lists them as imported, but on the tag it states "Made in USA."
Hopefully that information is useful to someone. 4 1/2 stars from me."

"Very clean and stylish look. Size runs a bit large. I wear a 31 in the stand up shorts but a 30 in these fits fine, a bit loose. Fabric is stretchy which can help makeup for the ambiguity in size if you are worried about going down a size or two."

"I am clicking "Yes" on "recommend this product to a friend" only b/c of Patagonia's exchange policy.
The material & construction on these shorts are *really* ideal.
However the sizing is very very very off. BF (6' tall 195 lbs, consistently 36 in all pants/shorts) tried these on, zipped up the fly, buttoned the button, and was able to slide these off over his but+ w/ ease. Will probably exchange for the next size down."
