"This was the perfect midweight fall piece, I was so excited about the comfort and the zip up cardigan style but the fabric simply doesn't hold up. You are asking me to rate Patagonia and I'd have to say you've gone down hill form the good old days. Your products are not made like they used to be and it's a huge disappointment because my old stuff was always the absolute best and now it's just average."

"This full zip hoody is so soft and warm on the inside but looks like a nicer wool sweater on the outside. It has a little longer torso length to cover your waistline and keep that cold air from getting in. Love it!"

"I own both the Better Sweater Quarter-zip and now the Full-zip. I love both very much. Seriously. Better Sweaters are EXTREMELY warm and stylish. They fit is excellently. The great thing about the Full-zip is that it has pockets and a nice hood to keep your ears warm!"

"it's the first thing I pull out for the "what will the weather be like". A perfect transitional sweater for right now, and actually all summer here in Colorado this summer :) I get many "where did you get that sweater" comments on this garment. Wish the fall colors were more vibrant, love my green one!"

"I like the sweater for the most part-it is very cozy and warm. It was an important layer to have when it was 0 degrees in Wisconsin over Christmas. But it is a bit longer than I would like, covering the whole rear. And after a 50-hour train ride it wasn't smelling so good. If you react to polyester like I do, it's proably best to go with wool or cotton when you don't need the polyester."

"I bought this for my daughter for Christmas and she absolutely loves it. She's worn it five straight days now, so it's probably time to put it in the wash. Her comment was "I hope I don't wear it too much, people will think it's the only outerwear I have." She's tall and skinny, but the small fits her well, even the sleeves. I'd have rated it five stars if it wasn't so expensive. Still, I'd recommend it highly."

"This sweater/sweatshirt is like a gigantic hug. I liked my first one so much that I bought a second one in another color. If you love the feel of sweatshirts but want something more fashionable, this is your sweater. This has been my go-to hoody to take the chill off and keep me toasty for running errands, having coffee with friends, and keeping my muscles warm after working out."

"In the past I have found Patagonia to run a bit small, but this sweater runs true to size and accomodates layering. Its very warm and soft and easy care. I am having some troubles keeping the zipper aligned."

"I really like this soft sweatshirt. I wear it all the time. I have had one technical problem with it which downgrades it to 4 stars. The zipper came apart at the bottom. I was able to force it back down and it's functioning OK again. The zipper isn't as smooth as I would expect from higher end brands. It's just a little sticky, and then it split today. Otherwise this is a wonderful sweatshirt."

"I love this sweater/jacket type dealio... I wear it in the evenings, at work and well, pretty much everywhere. One thing I've noticed in a lot of zip up jackets is that they always scratch my neck or chin when the zipper is all the way up... this has a lil' protector thingy majingy and when zipped up all the way... No SCRATCHY-NESS. Love it. Might buy it in another color."

"While I like the length and fit of the Better Sweater, it has balled up on the back right hip where my Patagonia laptop bag rubs it. I only wear this bag short distances to and from car and office, but it still has worn poorly in that area."

"I like full-zip hoodies to be versatile. I like to be able to wear them zipped all the way up over a layer if it's chilly, zipped halfway up or all the way unzipped. Although the hood and zip is well designed for being zipped up, it doesn't work as well unzipped and the sweater sags open around the neck...not a look I like. The zip doesn't just hang straight down like with other hoodies I own. I love the feel of the sweater and the look of the material, but just really wish I'd gone with the 1/4 zip."

"This hoody is very soft and classy. I have a very similar product from Arc'teryx (the covert hoody), and I think I like this one even better than that one. It fits well over layers for use as a jacket or as a cozy sweater."
