"I can't count the ways and places I've worn the Marsupial — fly-fishing, hiking, biking, hunting, road tripping, gardening, at the hospital the day my daughter was born, over a collared shirt with slacks to the office in the winter.
From October through April, there's a very good chance I'll wear my Marsupial. It's three years old, been washed quite a bit and still looks fairly new. Some wear on the elbows is the only thing I notice.
I honestly can't think of a way to improve this product. It's perfect."

"Love this fleece! Its pockets come in handy so I use it more than the snap version. It's super comfortable and warm! Only downside is that it doesn't really block out the wind but throw on a long sleeve shirt and you're good to go!"

"My husband received this fleece for a gift in 2002 and STILL has the original. I purchase a new one for him every 2-3 years as he is an excavator and gets mud and glue all over himself. This fleece continues to out perform EVERY other piece of clothing he owns, even when covered in glue and mud. It is the perfect warmth in the spring and in the winter he throws a down vest over the fleece and has the perfect jacket combo for the worst winter weather. Will continue to be a staple in my husbands wardrobe for YEARS to come!"

"Great fleece. The front pocket is nice (snap-t's dont have pockets). Good looking and super-durable. One of those pieces thats worth the fancy pricetag because it'll literally last forever even if you wear it everyday."

"The M size is nice and roomy (I wear 39/40 jacket). Lightweight but a bit bulky. Really warm but does not block out the wind. In the closet until it drops to 62 or lower, but no regrets, even bought another as gift: brother says it's just too warm and prefers his R1 full zip, while friend now wears it all the time (maybe too much)."

"This product is even better than the old (20+years ago) Blue Synchilla I just donated to the Rescue Mission when a resident asked for it. I really like the deep front pocket. Pocket space to keep stuff was minimal on the old one without a shell. This is really a nice warm soft product. Made well and light weight."

"Well, since I'm poor most of the time I bought this Synchilla Marsupial on sale. I have to say that the quality has made me believe I would buy another at full price and just go hungry. Seriously, it makes me feel good to know I am wearing plastic pop bottles and staying warm in the process."

"My husband and I love Patagonia products! They last forever which can be a bummer because I want to buy more fleece jackets but the ones I have which are very old and worn alot are still in great shape. The Marsupial is a nice weight and the kangaroo pocket is perfect for putting cold hands into."

"I'm an active, environmentally conscious teenager, so all of my clothing has to be able to survive rigorous use and it's always a benefit to have something recycled.
This fleece is an excellent breathable warm layer. It works well as a standalone on a non windy day, and great with a shell in wind rain or snow. So far it's stood up to every way I've been able to beat it up, with little pilling. The only complaint I have is that when an outer layer has a waist drawcord, the plastic piece that pinches the drawcord rubs against the hip of the jacket and causes it to pill somewhat (I wear my fleece with the Spraymaster Jacket, but many of Patagonia's shells have the same little plastic thing on the right hip). Brown bits of fuzz also fall off from time to time, but overall i find this fleece very effective, and at a good price. I basically live in this thing."

"Compard to a Marsupial that I purchased 4-5 years ago. I don't know if this was a new design or not, but the fleece had little or nothing to it and it looks like some corners were cut on the fabric around the cuffs and neck. Sorry.
I did purchase a Synchilla Jacket though that I am very pleased with."

"Patagonia's Synchilla Marsupial top has been wonderful. The top not only keeps me warm, but it also breathes to keep me from getting too hot. I wear it at home to stay warm during the winter. The top is great to drive in the car and to stay warm on short errands to stores. When the outside temperature is around 50, it is great to walk the dog. I would definitely recommend this top."

"I'm a patagonia junkie in many repsects, so my views are hardly objective - except that that great quality I continuualy encounter with P is what has made me a junkie. The marsupial is my third, The other two still holding up, but after numerous hiking camping fishing trips, either don't look as crisp or smell as good for wearing for social events."

"This is an awesome pullover and almost near perfect. It seems to long in the back, it can almost cover my rear. Patagonia needs to make it 1-1/2 inches shorter and and add some mesh lining to the body and sleeves for easy on/off."

"This is a favoirite of many fleece tops - it is my favorite winter loungewear, non-windproof fall outer layer, and makes a great midlayer over capilene when skiing. The next generation/an unresticted snap-tee. You won't need more than one, but you will have more than one!"

"The Marsupial has been accompanying me on winter excursions to the Austrian Alps, the German Alps and the Rhine River Valley. The zipper provides excellent ventilation and the pockets are good for keeping the digits warm. It's a great mid-layer when the temps drop below 20F, yet the collar makes it dressy enough for restaurant dining. It's comfortable for wearing around the house and in the car during road trips. I liked my first Marsupial so much I purchased two more."
