"Quality jacket but definitely 'slim fit'. It's a very feminine design, not really what I was looking for. I'm 5'7" 135lbs and ordered a small and found the length was a bit short."

"I had been searching for a new fleece and loved the Retro but could not find a size that worked for me, either too small, too large in the shoulders, sleeves too long etc.I wanted something not too tight across the chest as that is an issue for me. Saw this on line, gave it a chance and I LOVE IT. Fit is great, not too snug, but not too boxy either. Cozy, soft and warm in the wind.., I am so happy I made this purchase.."

"I was feeling a surprising sense of despair in the Patagonia store as I could not find a fleece that was warm enough, stylish enough, and did not jab me in the throat when I looked down with it fully zipped.
Then I saw this jacket. It was love at first sight. When I tried it on, I knew we would be together forever....
Reversible!!? So cool. The brown color is lovely. The contrasting textures add a subtle style but retains the cleanness of the lines. And this thing is soooo soft and cozy.
In terms of warmth, I'd say its up around R3 range.
It says regular fit, but its definitely a slim fit. Slimmer than many of the slim fits. Order up a size if you want to do major layering."

"This is a superbly warm jacket and this year's styling has it all over last year's. The sleeves are plenty long but the hand-warmer pockets are small and the body is definitely a slim fit - not much room for layering (probably better at keeping ya warm that way!). Go up a size if you plan to wear anything more than slightly bulky underneath."

"This is the fleece I was looking for. It has a nice feminine fit, supersoft fleece on the one side, and a soft pile on the other. Of course, it is reversible, and my boyfriend and I agree, with the pile side out it "steps it up a notch" to wear to a more dressy affair. The fit is maybe a touch more snug than I'm used to, but it still fits with sweaters underneath. I get lots of compliments--people like the pile "trim" you can see at the bottom. The pockets are a bit small when the fleece side is out and zippers would be preferred. Other than that, very nice--love it!"

"I love the texture of both sides, nicer than any of the other fleece jackets I've had. This is a more dense fabric and less stretchy than normal synchilla. It is a jacket I need to think twice about grabbing when I think it may get dirty. I consider this jacket too nice to play in the mud - an inevitable result of living in the mountains. May be that will change with time - but for now its the one I wear when I want to look nice in a civilized setting. The blue one is the nicest shade of blue. It fits a little small - so if you like a roomy fit - you may want the next size up."

"I love this jacket. I have seven of them that I've purchased through the years--this year I bought three: black, north sea and molten lava. The north sea is green gray. Molten lava is a beautiful, rich red that I just couldn't resist. I know seven is a bit ridiculous, but I wear them every day. I spin every morning, as early as 7am. I live by the ocean in a canyon that can get very chilly in the mornings, so I just throw on one of these jackets over my bra top and shorts, slip on some furry boots and I'm good to go. I never reverse it because the fuzzy side feels good next to my skin. The pockets fit my i phone perfectly. I like to get to the spin gym early, park, set up my bike and listen to music on my i phone as I walk up the street to the Bean. The jacket keeps me warm at that early hour, even in my shorts. Unlike most fleece it also keeps out the wind off the ocean when I go to the farmers market later in the morning after a yoga class. It's a really versatile jacket, a staple of my winter wardrobe."

"I now have 2 of these jackets - I bought one last year and liked it so much that I bought another one this year. It's durable, functional, very stylish, reversible (versatile) and oh so cozy! I'd get the red one too this year, if I could, but I like the colors I have already (nice, rich colors a definite plus in my decision to purchase again). I'd recommend this jacket to anyone looking for Patagonia quality construction in a casually stylish yet fully functional hip length winter jacket."

"I added this to my "fleece" collection of jackets because I wanted something I would not have to layer on in a pinch. I teach and there is no time to put the multilayers on(or shed) during my busy schedule. Like the previous post about the fit,one may want to go up a size if that is a concern. I prefer the pile side out. I think it is a closer fit with the pile side inside. I love the tactile touch of this jacket. I have the luipine color. Now I am off for a walk in the woods!"

"I absolutely love the performance of this jacket. It kept my warm and dry in the rain, 30 degree temperatures, and fierce winds. The only thing I didnt like was how much static the inside pile generates! That isnt reason enough for me to return it though because I love it too much. The jacket is a regular fit and seems true to size. However, if reversed with the pile on the outside, the jacket is a little more snug. If you plan to wear anything of bulk, I'd go up a size. I bought this in Molten Lava and its more of a deep red/maroon color instead of the bright red that is shown. Shipping is incredibly fast (4 days!) but phone orders made at the store did not come with any proof of purchase or tracking number. All you can do is hope that nothing goes wrong but if anything does happen, customer service is superb!"

"Okay, I love this jacket! I have it in the ivory and black. There is a great inside zip pocket for valuables. It's quite warm, but breathable. The length is good so I can fit my "clip on dog water bowl" to my belt without a big fuss. I get a lot of complements on the coat. It layers nicely with tees as well as capilene. I'm not so sure about the Windbreakability however. It's okay in that dept. I generally choose a different coat on windy days. A word of warning, it is a coat people like to touch, so if that bugs you..."

"First of all, I love the looks of this jacket. Second, I love it's performance features. The fleece is incredibly soft and lightweight and offers great wind and cold protection. It's even warm in damp conditions. The cut is perfect. Snug enough to seal in warmth, but loose enough to accomodate a t-shirt and light sweater. It looks great as casual, about town clothing, but could also do double-duty at the golf course (plenty of room for your swing) or in more adventurous activities. It even has a well-placed secure-zippered pocket and is reversible besides. I bought mine in "Lupine"."
