Perfect Fit

"Softest merino wool you will find. It feels great but it is a merino 1 so its pretty thin so 90 dollars is a bit steep. The fit is perfect. Sleeve length is perfect. Body length is perfect but might be an inch too long, hangs slightly below where i would like it. Width is perfect for a baselayer because it hugs the curves of your body but somehow also looks good on all by its self. Initial quality is good but only 1 week old.
I'm 5-7 132lbs purchased a small"

"Patagonia Wool is the softest but this shirt does not fit me right, it is too wide and too short. I think this a good start for the Merino 1, and with future models the problems will be fixed. It just needs to have a slim fit like the Wool 2 and the body needs to be a bit longer and it will be perfect."

Not impressed

"Have had this product for under a year. The sleeves are too long and the Waist is too short. Also have holes on the shoulder. Washed once in cold water and air dried. Need a longer waist for us taller guys. Way too expensive for the quality."

Good All around Shirt

"Great for layering when on cold climbs, hikes, and just to wear around the house. The only drawback is running, I run with a 10-20lb pack on all my runs, and it tends to pull the neck to one side and needs constant adjustment. The wool is very stretchy, but overall great shirt."

Nice but surprisingly roomy

"Great feel as expected, however buyers should note that these (bought the crew and the 1/4 zip) both fit far larger than I expected from a Patagonia base-layer. I usually fit large or xl so got the crerw in L and the 1/4 in XL. Both fit long (makes sense to ensure a good tuck) but both were very roomy and sleeves were much longer than expected. I'd suggest you buy a size down from your usual to ensure a snug fit. Also note that I was able to snug them up by running them both in a low heat dryer. It worked for me, may not work for everyone."

This bad boy is a homerun

"This is a layer I may wear as much as 7 days a week sometimes and the new use of wool doesn't retain odor which makes packing and rotating clean layers way easier because I can just wear this one for several days now without becoming foully offensive to others."
