"purchased these cap 2 bottoms to replace an old pair that lasted somewhere in the neighborhood of 6 years. the new pair had a hole in less than ONE month. luckily, patagonia stands behind their gear. i'm going to give it one more try. i'm a big fan of the capilene that's why i would recommend it to a friend despite the low overall rating i gave."

"Cap. 2 is what ya turn to! I find that these actually make the best cool to cold weather baselayer for movement. I never hike without them. Even when the "let's stop for ah moment" breaks last longer than expected, no worries about sweat turning cold!!"

"Very versitile winter underlayer. I wear them from November to early April here in New England. On the really cold days, I wear Cap 3's, but mostly Cap 2's. A low profile makes them excellent under blue jeans. I even wear them (Cap 2's) under my suits at work on cold days. No one in the office notices but me. That is the beauty of these things; the weave is warm but not bulky. I own enough pairs to go a whole week. Superfast drying, exceptionally comfortable. They are my winter second skin; I am never without them. I highly recommend the Cap 2's and the Cap 3's ...your choice depending on the temp."

"The Cap 2 and 3 bottoms are both excellent and versatile in the cold winter months. In addition to outside hiking and yard work excursions, in recent years I have started wearing them under my normal work pants for my cold commute to work on my motorcycle in the morning. Very nice."
