Disappointed

"I was excited to hear about the return of the Burrito suiter. I had one of the original bags and the new version does not compare. Thin fabrics, plastic fittings and flimsy zippers. After 30 years of satisfaction with Patagonia gear, this would be the first time that I would say "I'm disappointed"."

"I do a lot of travel, usually requiring a mix of field and "tie and jacket" clothing carried through developing world airlines and muddy pickup truck beds. This bag is perfect for just that purpose. My only wish is that the main compartment was just an inch or so thicker. Thanks Patagonia!"

The best suitbag

"It has been so long that I can't remember when I bought my burrito but I think that it was in 1984 from a sports gear store that was also named Patagonia in New York City. I liked it so much that I bought my wife another one. For 25 years, the same burrito has accompanied me on literally millions of miles of travel. Last year alone, I flew over 250,000 miles with the burrito. Its fits anywhere. It holds everything that I need for a trip, from 1 to 20 days. Amazingly, it is in very good condition. My old burrito looks just a little beat-up but still quite serviceable. All the parts still work.
I typically pack two suits, four shirts, one sweater, four sets of underwear, socks, running gear and shoes, two ties, and shaver/toothbrush/toothpaste/shampoo. This leaves ample room for all sorts of stuff that people give me on, including books, plaques, and gifts for the family. I have never seen any clothing damage. My only complaint is that it allows you to pack a lot into it, making it too heavy to carry. The little device which hold the hangers has a rubber pad that has long since worn out but it is not necessary. One of the strap buckles has long one of its prong but it still clips. All the zippers are working well and have never failed on me."

Business Travel Simplified

"MLC Burrito is exactly as advertised. I was looking for a garment bag that could sustain a week of business travel and keep my cloths wrinkle free. I had travel to several cities and had to pack and unpack several times. I was able to bring 1 suit, 5 dress shirts 2 slacks, 2 ties, 2 sets of casual sport cloths (jeans ect...) work out clothing -vibram 5 fingers-flip flops and a hygene bag. The MLC packed up easily and fit the airplane overhead (even the small planes) with ease. This is a definite go-to bag for business travelers."

thin, weak tortilla

"I recently bought this bag, hoping it would fill a void in my travel needs. I insist on traveling lightly and do not check bags...but needed a good bag for my professional and dress clothes. This bag fits that bill and I was excited to try it. The design is worthy...but it is the cheapest feeling and almost the cheapest looking bag that I own--and most of my bags are patagnia. The zipper, strap, clips, and more or less every piece of this bag feels cheap. Nevertheless, it was one of the most expensive pieces of luggage I have. Where in the world did the $180 go? This tortilla is not worthy for how I need to stuff it...y esta listo para romparse."

"The duffle is durable and strong just like the past luggge that I have purchased from Patagonia. However, this one is not only excellent for adventure travel, but I can also be used for short 3 day business trips. I love the extra pocket in the front and the fact that it can be used as a carry-on. Thanks Patagonia!!"

"As a very satisfied owner of an original Burrito bag for about 14 years, I was a bit disappointed to see this latest iteration. It might be better labeled "Burrito Lite" in contrast to its predecessor. The beefiness that I so admired in the original - from the heavy stitching and fabric to the indestructible zippers - seems missing in this recent version. But I'm going to give the new one a chance since my original is worn down to the point that I might not be able to get it repaired again. Thanks."

Most Awesomest Bag Ever

"I've had the old version of this bag for 12 years. I travel EVERY week and it has stoof the test of time. Keeps shoes and spillables away from clothes. Clothes stay relatively wrinkle free and already hung which is fantastic. I've traveled for 4 days to 3 months using just this bag and it has been amazing!"

"The Burrito is an outstanding bag that I've used for numerous 2-3 day business trips as well as many vacations since I bought mine in 1999. I was able to carry business clothes wrinkle-free plus workout clothes and toilet articles. It's amazing how much fits into the bag."

"This product has been out of production and thankfully is now back. It is really the best travel bag if you need to carry dress clothes. I have been sewing my old one up for the last couple years just wishing they would bring this product back. I have just ordered this new one but it looks the same as the old one and I highly recommend it."
