A more structured, wheeled-version of our ever-popular MLC, this suitcase holds 3-5 days' worth of clothes, meets strict airline carry-on requirements and is made of recycled fabric.

I LOVE THIS BAG

"It's impossible to include enough superlatives to describe how much I love this bag. I can carry it on as a backpack as my one personal bag, along with my dive gear in a larger carry-on wheeled duffle, but wheel it around the airport.
I took it on a recent trip to the BVI, stayed four nights, it held sandals on the way down, street shoes on the way back, plenty of clothes for the beach, exploring the islands, and dinners out at upscale restaurants. It's got so many separate compartments that part of the fun is figuring out how to best use all of its features.
I received this as a Christmas gift, and wasn't sure how well it was going to serve, but I'm now fully convinced of its usefulness. It's so much lighter than the standard wheeled carry-on I used to use, even on long weekend trips, and it's very well made. More than four or five nights, and it would definitely be a stretch. But five or less, traveling to warm weather locations, it's really terrific!"

Way to small for any carry on.

"I bought this bag for weekend trips & trips to warm weather places where I only need a few items. This bag is way too small to carry even a few days worth of clothes & I pack lightly. I love the idea but the bag is poorly designed in a way that can not hold much. I was traveling & I tried packing for a weekend in cold weather & couldn't even fit a pair of running shoes or toiletry bag with a few days worth of clothes never mind even thinking of adding my computer. Poor design that I do not expect from Patagonia. I had to run out the night before my trip & buy a Victorinox carry-on w/ wheels that is a million times larger & better than the MLC Wheelie."

Perfect carryon

"Although not intended for a 6 week urban expedition through India, with some careful packing and minimalist needs, the MLC Wheelie proved perfect for the trip. Lots of pockets for camera cords, phone, music etc. and a handy internal divider make for easy organization and access. It fits easily into even the smallest overheads or under a train seat. I was able to lock all zippers shut with one travel lock when ditching the bag at the guest house or train station. The backpack straps are minimal and comfortable. Stuffed full the bag is still sleek and easy to haul with handles in all the right places. Hopefully this is the last piece of "luggage" I'll ever buy. And oh yeah, it rolls........"

Great Traveler

"This wheelie made a wonderful traveling companion on a recent business trip to Washington DC. It didn't fit everything but that's my fault because I tend to over-pack. But it takes a good stuffing!
The compartments are well-designed and clever. There are also so many of them, including one for toiletries (and it's removable! You can put it on a hanger when you settle in!).
This bag rolls down the narrow aisles of the plane with ease and looks sharp too."

Not "maximum" at all

"I'm really disappointed in this bag, primarily because of it's miniature size. There is nothing "maximum" about this bag at all. If you consider a days worth of clothes to be underwear, a shirt, and shorts, then fitting 3 to 5 days' worth of clothes in it is a reasonable claim to make. But if you happen to wear more than 4 (small) articles of clothing a day, then this statement is misleading because there is no way you can fit more than 2-3 days' worth of actual clothing in the bag.
I am a huge fan of Patagonia and this won't prevent me from purchasing other items in the future, but this bag is ridiculously tiny and not worth the $$."

Not a Good Bag for Tall People

"I'm about 6'4" and I recently purchased this bag for business trips and weekend vacations. The bag looks good, seems durable (I've only used it once so far), and I was able to fit enough clothes for 3-5 days if I packed efficiently. Unfortunately, the "T-Handle" is not long enough for me, and I end up having to hunch down when I'm trying to roll the bag, and the bag often becomes unstable as a result. I'd recommend rolling the bag around the store before purchasing, in order to make sure the handle is long enough for you."
