"I wear this layered over in hot weather, layered under in cooler weather. The side-zip pockets worked best for stashing airline boarding passes but I have both styles. I keep having to buy new white ones 'cause I'm such a messy traveler!"

"I had an assignment in Egypt from January to April - from winter straight to summer. This shirt was perfect for a wide variety of reasons: Kept me cool while hiking in the hot sun, yet also managed to keep me warm when the chilly wind picked up. Easy to wash, never got stinky (a huge bonus), sleeve snaps make them super-easy to roll up out of the way, and the cut/ length were perfect (a real rarity for my short-waisted body)."

"I wear the Sol Patrol as a "shop shirt" (I work in a fly shop) and also out fishing. It's awesome. I don't often find great looks and breathability in the same package."

"Not anymore! I wore this shirt for the first time on the hottest day this year in Los Angeles. Went for a hike in the Santa Monica mountains and the shirt performed BEAUTIFULLY!!! Felt great on my skin. Kept me cool and dry. Excellent sun protection and wicking technology. Washed super easy. My only complaint is the "stink" factor. Maybe there is a way to use the "gladiodor" technology used in the capilene base layer line.."

"I wear this shirt to work. it's on the casual side-not too crisp and not too wrinkled. I like it because it moves, as I hate that stuffy cotton dress shirt feeling. This way I can have something fitted but still feel like I can raise my arms."
