"I own several of these shirts, and have always liked the fabric- very light and airy. However, over the past 4 or 5 seasons, the sizing keeps getting smaller. An AC shirt from 5 seasons ago was relaxed and comfortable- exactly what is needed in a shirt designed to breathe- but each season the fit is tighter and tighter, now to the point that it does not allow airflow like it used to. Please return the fit to relaxed!!!"

"I'll list the good before the bad. Good Construction, organic colors last, good color selections. Bad is shirt is too tight to be a true "AC" shirt with AIR FLOW around the chest, back, shoulders. Shirt should be relaxed fit NOT regular fit. Regular fit only works if you buy a size larger than you would normally wear, and you have a 30" waist and 38" chest. Anyone bigger & shirt is too tight for AC air flow cooling in hot and humid weather. The shirt will get sticky on your shoulders, arms, upper back, chest, and under your arms because the sizing is too tight. Look great in an AC conditioned bar, but for real world wear outside in the heat & humidity, go with some other shirt. This one is cut wrong for air ventilation and air flow to keep you cool. Maybe rename the shirt because it's not an AC shirt & the marketing on this shirt is not right."

"I bought this shirt and found the fabric to be a little uneven in the weave and fit very small. I have bought 4 shirts of the same fabric and size small in the past and this one does not meet those experiences."

Light and airy, but the sleeves are too big

"The fabric is nice and the body is cut well, but (at least in the small size) the sleeves are much too large in both length and width. You'd have to be a massive body builder with exceptionally long arms to fill them out well. For the price I was hoping for a better fit."

"This shirt is just OK. Not like having air conditioning, I pitted out in minutes in 80 degree weather. I used to own a similar style shirt from Bugle Boy of all places that I had bought at a thrift store for $3. It was actually a little better vented and I'm sure wasn't $70 new. Unfortunately it disintegrated on a recent trip to mexico after years of faithful service. Anyway, I might buy another of the Patagonia's on sale, but $70 just too much for a just OK shirt."

"The shirt material and construction is great. The shirt just fits very poorly because the body is way too long. It is about 4in too long so not only does it look ridiculous having the shirt fall below your but but it prevents air flow. I'm 5,7 135lbs and the small was hanging over 4 in too low so this shirt would only work for someone who is very tall and very skinny. All other patagonia small fit much better but would like to see more extra smalls out there"

"I own about 3 dozen plus of these shirts. I have been buying several in selected colors for years. Patagonia changed the sizing from relaxed fit to regular fit a couple of years ago. Big mistake. In hot weather, which is what the shirt was "designed" for and "marketed" for, the extra air space between your body and the shirt was a huge benefit. Not now. It's just another organic cotton shirt that's overpriced. There are similar shirts on the market for less $'s so now you pay for the name "Patagonia" and the color schemes, which are usually pretty good. But the utility of the shirt is lost for what it was originally designed for. Now most guys I know wear a size up to get the cooler shirt effect to some extent. Even that's a poor substitute for correct fitting in a relaxed fit. Not really possible when you are a large or xl already. I never minded the extra material around the waist, I always wear it out and hanging so being "baggy" was ok and expected. The shirt is now a "regular" fit so you lose the "baggy" which is where it's now too tight and doesn't allow the air flow the shirt was originally famous for. Somebody at Patagonia should go back to the exact relaxed fit sizing they used for this shirt a few years ago."

"This shirt handles the Houston summer heat like a gem. The A/C shirt ventilates superbly, and cuts through heat and humidity by allowing a great deal of air to cool your skin. A must have for any hot weather wardrobe!!!"

"The shirt epitomizes the patagonia brand- light weight, comfortable materials, looks great at the pool, out for dinner, or sitting around the camp fire. Pulled the shirt on after a long run through a state park on the coast of Maine, and sweatily drove to the Portland airport for a flight home. The shirt was incredibly comfortable."

"Ok shirt, comfortable when dry. Tends to hold sweat when out in the heat and humidity. Feels clammy after you've been out for a while in it. If there's no breeze you will be soggy."

"The organic cotton is so light and comfortable that it would be easy to forget you're wearing this shirt, except that you constantly get complemented on how good it looks. This shirt lets even the slightest breeze get through while also offering sun protection and style. A must have for hot, humid days."

"Excellent shirt- I have three and love them. They are sporty and hip and do a great job of keeping you cool in the summer heat. I love the lightweight airless feel and as the name would imply, like having built in air conditioning.
The only thing I don't like is they do require a bit of maintenance. It's not like a Puckerwear that you can just pull out of the dryer and throw on. I would also recommend washing them in small loads on a gentle cycle. I got a run in one of mine that was pretty much irreparible, but Patagonia sticks by their guarantee. Kudos!"

"I bought the red and the brown A/C shirts, and if they weren't so expensive, I'd buy at least a few more. They wear right off of the clothesline or out of the dryer, fit really well, and do keep you cool."

"I live in Austin where the heat and humidity are usually an issue. These shirts don't stick to my skin like a t shirt and are nice enough to wear anywhere I need to go. Love 'em."
