A soft, performance-oriented cotton blend long-sleeved polo shirt that wicks and washes like a synthetic.

"This shirt looks great, is very soft, has a great feel, and hangs incredibly well...kind of a smooth, silky, flowing feel.
I would definitely recommend ordering a size smaller than you usually wear. I am 6'1" and the small fits me well. I wear a medium in the capilene line and the small vitaliti is bigger than they are, not just in the body, but the sleeve comes halfway down my hand. I am not sure if it shrinks because i have yet to cook it in the dryer.
The fabric pulls rather easily, so I think it is better suited to wearing around town than it is to go hiking through the brush.
I happen to like the brushed vitaliti crew better, but that's just a matter of preference.
I would definitely get more of these shirts, so hopefully Patagonia continues the brushed vitaliti line."

Poor Planning

"Was not impressed. I have LONG arms and big shoulders and a large still made me look like I was wearing a tent. I should have sent it back, but thought that maybe it would have shrunk in the wash. WRONG. Do not buy this unless you like baggy long armed shirts that second as a tent."

Perfect Travel Shirt

"Throw it on, take it off, wash and dry and put it on the next day. The handle on this shirt is so soft and yet it is hardy. Layer it with a fleece and an organic and stick it all in your MLC. Good to go!"

"The Brushed Vitaliti Polo is my "go-to" outdoor shirt of choice.
Lightweight, soft and reasonably quick to dry, I use it for long-sleeve sun protection, keeping biting insects at bay, and general stylishness.
My favorite all-time Patagonia shirt!"

Soft, Practical and Elegant

"This is a great polo. I can use it with a capilne or wool layer or alone. It is comfortable for working outside and elegant enough to wear to work or going out to a nice restaurant. Great freedom of movement and air dries without a need to iron. Definitely my kind of shirt."

Disappointment

"I love the hand of the fabric, but this shirt's sizing is hosed. I normally wear a small with a 32-33 sleeve, but this SML shirt sleeve is over 34 inches long! I tried to make an XS work, but it was not a good fit - OK in some places and not so good in others (sleeves still a bit long, length too short). I am a long time, loyal Patagonia customer and don't forsee this ever changing, but this shirt sizing is a bust. Unfortunately I will be sending it back for a refund/exchange."

"This could end up being my favorite shirt of all time. Love the fabric. Not as dressy as the LS Polo, but great for casual or techical wear. Wicks very well and is built like a tank!"

"This is an awsome shirt for all conditions. It layers extremely well, with a capaline underneath it you will be plenty warm for all activities outdoors. It's durable enough to wear for outside work and dressy enough to be coupled with your favorite kahki's for that afernoon meeting. Just a practical eveyday shirt!!"

"Nice fabric, Patagonia quality; but why is Patagonia going wide-body? Patagonia used to have slimmer longer shirts (polos); now they seem made for the rotund. For average or slim builds, other polos are a better choice."
