"This dress is great! For reference, I am 6 feet tall and a 36DD. It is SO hard for me to find dresses that are flattering and comfortable. I ordered a size XL, and the dress hugs the curves in all the right places. You could dress it up for a wedding or event with heels or dress it down for a summer afternoon with flats. I totally recommend this dress for anyone who can't seem to find the perfect black dress! I am definitely buying another in a different color!"

"I am 5'1.5" and went to a store to try this dress on before purchasing--I was concerned about the length. As some others have written, I could have worn a Small (my usual size) but went with a M and the length still feels perfect. It probably hits me right above the ankle, no longer than a "long" petite skirt I might wear. Another plus: the "sleeves" hide bra straps beautifully. I went w/ a M because of the snugness in the back--the outline of a bra still shows but is not as snug one size up. This is something I am picky about but it may not bother others! I bought this dress for travel. Love the bust--very flattering!"

"I have had the Bandha top (in a lavender color) for a few years and it is my favorite workout top, so I had my eye on this dress (in black) for an upcoming trip. The XS and S fit similarly, but I found the XS a bit too tight around the bust (I am 5'9", 125 lbs, and a B/C cup). I had the dress taken in at the front and back seams (not an issue for me since I often have to get clothes a bit larger to fit my shoulders/chest and then have them taken in around the waist), because otherwise it is a bit baggy around the middle (not the way it's pictured on the model in the catalog). I plan to take this dress to Italy and dress it up with heels and a dressy cardigan for the opera and then wear it for sightseeing and dinner with some comfy ballet flats. Will be keeping an eye on other colors offered as I expect to be wearing this dress very frequently!"

"This is perhaps my best dress purchase ever. In fact, I liked it so much, I bought 3 more. I took it with me on a trip to Thailand in January, and it was the perfect travel dress. Wrinkles, if any, shake out easily, it washes easily, dries quickly, and looks and feels great on. The length is a little long on me (I'm 5'4"), but it still looks good. Highly recommend!"

"The Bandha dress has be such a great purchase from Patagonia! My first one was a black dress and I have worn it for several weddings with anything from chaco's to dress shoes with cardigans or scarves or just plain. Also, it is super sexy with or without jewelry. I have also worn it for parties and although I have not worn it in a really casual setting (post-yoga or something), I would certainly feel great and very comfortable doing so. I seem to always get compliments on the dress...Patagonia made another great looking item. This dress is very fitted from the top down through mid-abdominal area and then it flows out nicely (enough that its fun to twirl). I am a size small with a B cup bra size and I have been able to wear the dress with or without a bra! Again, SO versatile. It also does not wrinkle and is so so comfortable, just like your favorite yoga pants. I was so pleased with the black dress that I have since bought the chocolate brown dress for another friend's wedding. Buy this dress, you will use it a lot for various occasions and have it forever! I think I would like to buy a few more colors..."

"I love this dress so much. It is cut so well...very flattering on me. It makes me look leaner and taller for some reason--i think it's the cut at the bust and the long lines down the torso. Fabric is wonderful as well. It is the perfect summer dress as it wicks away any moisture on your body. I love it so much I have just bought another one in a different color. You will NOT be disappointed!"

"I got this dress for my honeymoon in Europe. I shoved it in the bottom of my backpack and whenever I pulled it out (over the course of three weeks) all I had to do was give it a shake and I looked presentable! It is form fitting but not too revealing on top. The length is a little long for me (5'4") but it doesn't look frumpy."

"I went to Europe for 2 1/2 months with a difficult packing challenge--August in Sicily (sweltering), then flew to St. Petersburg (brrr) and boarded a ship down to Lisbon. This dress was the best thing I brought. It kept cool in Italy, looked stylish, and worked with tights and a sweater in the cooler climes. With a different necklace or scarf it always looked different and great. I also brought along other Patagonia pieces--the black Morning Glory Skirt, the Seashore Jacket, the Miracle Pants, and the Long-Sleeved Versataliti Vee shirt, all of which performed well from hiking and riding in a Zodiac to dinner out with heels. But the Bandha Dress was far and away the star."

"Comfortable design and great fabric. I like that a bra can be worn with this dress. It looks great on. It is a little form fitting. If you don't like everything showing, I would suggest going up a size. I generally wear about a size 4, but I got a M / 6 in this dress."
